Who the specialist will work with The individual will be working with Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) and Military.
What the specialist will work on Job Includes:
Link 16 (L16) Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Point Of Contact (POC).
Support to L16 Operational planning.
Support to Capability Integration.
Interface with Key L16 Organisations.
Work with L16 Network Data Loads (NDL).
Conduct training for L16.
Work with L16 host software, protocol conversion software and tactical mission software.
Work with specified L16 terminals.
Fault finding and troubleshooting.
Support exercises and training.
Remote support to operations.
Work setup
Working arrangements You are required to work 5 days a week, the normal working day is 09:00 to 17:00 with a 30 minutes break for lunch. A monthly summary of days worked will be maintained and signed by the Contractor.
Frequent travel between multiple sites across West Midlands and the South West.
Security clearance UK Developed Vetting (DV) Clearance must be in place prior to contract start (aimed to be 01 July 2022) and remain in place throughout employment. Supplier must be UK based. Supplier must provide Cyber Essentials Plus Certificate prior to start date.

Link 16 Subject Matter Expert including practical experience working with L16 terminals and L16 Host & Protocol Conversion Software. 10 Marks
Experience working with Military Command, Control, Communications and Computer Information Systems (C4IS) capabilities. 7 Marks
Experience briefing organisational leaders or senior officers. 7 Marks
Experience delivering theoretical & practical instruction to Military Personnel. 7 Marks
Experience and ability to distil complex technical information into less complex language for consumption by less technical Military personnel. 7 Marks
