The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) will be going to market shortly for a supplier to provide motorcycle clothing and helmets to its 234 motorcycle examiners.
We will be holding a supplier day on 15 April 2020.
The purpose of this notice is to invite suppliers who are interested in attending the supplier day. It will provide an opportunity to learn more about doing business with DVSA and the environment within which our motorcycle examiners work. II.2.4) Description of the procurement
DVSA conduct motorcycle riding tests for candidates wishing to obtain entitlement to ride motorcycles on public roads.
DVSA sets high quality standards for the clothing our riders wear, safety for the wearer is important. This is an opportunity for a supplier to provide motorcycle PPE for DVSAs motorcycle riders who are seen by all new motorcycle riders and their instructors.
We are seeking CE approved PPE, to include (but not limited to) jackets, trousers, boots, gloves, under-garments, motorcycle helmets, helmet accessories and branded hi-vis jackets.
DVSA currently has 234 examiners with PPE requirements that will require ongoing replacement.
DVSA plan to publish the ITT in May 2020 with a contract duration of 4 years plus 1 option year.
