The current contract for Shredders – Framework Lead is projected to end on 22-FEB-21 and may be available for retender. PSNI – Maintenance, Repair and Disposal of Shredders.
Information assets held within PSNI have an agreed life. At the end of this period they must be disposed of in a manner appropriate to their sensitivity and classification. Protectively marked hard copy assets must be shredded. To ensure compliance, PSNI has purchased a number of shredders which are currently in use throughout PSNI. PSNI has a requirement for the repair and routine service of the shredders including parts. PSNI currently has a stock of 683 shredders across 40 locations. Appendix A lists the quantities of shredders at PSNI locations throughout Northern Ireland and the PSNI business area responsible. The contract shall be for an initial period of three years with the option to extend up to a further 2 years.
