Short description of requirement: Electronic intelligence system. Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance. Electronic warfare systems and counter measures. Radar. DE&S, Dstl and GCHQ will be providing an Industry Briefing on the Joint Interface Control Document 4.2 Common Services (JICD 4.2 Common Services) standard on 29th November at Dstl Porton Down. JICD 4.2 Common Services is a Five Eyes Intelligence Community standard which provides defence with the necessary components to rapidly integrate ISR capabilities in the delivery of new Electromagnetic Environment Concept of Operations (CONOP). To date JICD 4.2 Common Services has been used to conduct collaborative RF geolocation operations using a combination of in-service platforms and R&D capabilities in national and international trials. Now a ratified standard, JICD 4.2 Common Services has reached sufficient maturity that it can be pulled through to meet operational requirements and be levied as an interoperability requirement on a range of future equipment procurements.

The event is aimed at the following:
1. Designers and vendors of electronic warfare equipment, including intelligence and electronic counter measures, who wish to incorporate standard compliance into their product families and / or are looking to market across the Five Eyes community;
2. Integrators and Architects involved system design and component integration
3. Electronic Warfare, ISTAR and Intelligence software development SMEs.

The briefing is being held to provide awareness of the standard and is not part of any formal procurement process.

The briefing will be held at SECRET and is only open to UK Nationals who hold a valid UK security clearance. Space is limited to one individual per organisation and priority will be given to equipment designers and software developers so applications to attend will be screened. The MOD retains complete discretion over who is accepted to attend and reserves the right to restrict/refuse attendance where it deems it appropriate to do so.
