Summary of Requirements / Description of Work: Submarines. (SCB) Acquisition Programme. The programme draws on the technology and findings from the SCB Technology Phase that has recently completed. The Acquisition programme has the aim of designing, building, testing and qualifying production SCB systems for Dreadnought Class SSBNs. It also includes a potential future option for Vanguard Class. The broad scope of the SCB Acquisition Programme is as follows, either as core activities or options:

• Management of all aspects of the project.
• Design and development of a system for Dreadnought Class to meet the requirement.
• Production of a prototype system to support performance and qualification testing.
• Manufacture of production systems based on the assumption of two systems per platform for Dreadnought Class.
• Support to Dreadnought Class design maturity and platform integration.
• Support to Dreadnought Class installation, acceptance and sea trials.
• Provision of a land based reference system.
• Provision of a training package.
• Development of a through-life support package.

The SCB Acquisition Programme is subject to the Dreadnought approval strategy and therefore the contract will incorporate break points in line with the decision gates. The duration of the contract will be commensurate with the Dreadnought build programme.

Expressions of Interest are sought from companies that have the capability of receiving, storing and analyzing data up to and including Secret UK Eyes Only (SUKEO) from the date of Tender release (assessed in the PQQ) with further requirement for members of the design team to be able to access and read information classified up to Top Secret UK Eyes only (TSUKEO) when necessary (March 2020) in order to assess the impact on their solution.(will be assessed within the tender response)
