Summary of Requirements / Description of Work: Support equipment. Support equipment. The Lightning II aircraft (F-35) will enter service with the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy in 3rd QTR 2018. The F-35 Support Equipment (SE) Delivery Team (DT) are provisioning all necessary SE, test equipment and tool outfits deemed necessary to maintain the aircraft serviceability. It has been identified that there is a capability gap for Weapon Assembly Workstations (WAWs) to be used on the carrier. The Lightning DT intends to award a five-year contract for:

• the design and manufacture of 6 WAWs, built to apply 800NM torque to the nose plug and circa 1700NM torque during assembly and disassembly of Paveway IV weapons;
• technical publications including Operators manuals and training classware;
• ongoing maintenance and support, including training and spares for the duration of the contract.
