A managed service that allows the manoeuvre elements of Battle Groups, including Opposing Forces (OPFOR) and vehicles to be instrumented and conduct realistic, live, force on force multiple training activities to prepare for the full spectrum of operations within a combined arms and joint context. It enables the ability to change Orbats in real time, the injection of essential enablers such as fast air and ISTAR, after action review and training exercises to be objectively assessed. The service is delivered in support of British Army Training Unit, Kenya (BATUK). The TTESIK 3 requirement has yet to be fully established, and during the proposed contract term, may be required to transition to a “Global TES”, which will provide mobile support to any collective training location and for any type of Force usage scheduled by Field Army.

The purpose of this PIN is to notify industry that MOD will soon be launching this competition on Defence Contracts Online (DCO). The Contract will be required for a period of 3 years plus 3 x 1 year options. The estimated value within this PIN is based on the core 3 year term. The Contracting Authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are
Small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement in the ITN, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.
