Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent is carrying out a procurement process for the Provision of Laundry Services, covering Gwent Police, South Wales Police and Dyfed Powys Police.
The framework is split in to 2 lots; Lot 1 – South Wales and Gwent Police and Lot 2 – Dyfed Powys Police. Each lot will be awarded to one contractor to deliver the Provision of Laundry Services.
The Provision of Laundry Services covers the collection, laundering and delivery of various items which are similar across the three forces, with the service required to be delivered on a weekly basis.
The contract is scheduled to commence on the 1.10.2014 for a period of two years with the option to extend for two additional annual periods. Gwent Police and Dyfed Powys Police require the service to commence on the 1.10.2014, with South Wales Police’s service commencing on the 1.12.2014.
