Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Adhesives. Adhesive tape. Sealants. The requirement is for the supply of Adhesives, Glues, Adhesive Tape, Insulators and insulating tapes, Sealants, Resin products and Reflective tape.
This Contract Notice, published under the Open Procedure in accordance with PCR 2006, is for a 48 month (4 year) framework agreement awarded as a contract to a single operator, however the Authority acknowledges that it may not be viable for a single provider to cover the whole range. For that reason the requirement has been split into six lots which will each be awarded to the most economically advantageous tenderer.
Deliveries will be required to UK MoD Warehouses.
Expressions of interest are to be submitted with the following evidence:
1) Copies of the interested party’s most recent audited annual accounts.
2) A Statement of affirmation confirming the interested party’s willingness or ability to trade electronically using the Defence Electronics Commerce Service (DECS) Purchase to Payment (P2P) business process.
3) Appropriate ISO 9001 Accreditation; contracts resulting from this competition will only be placed with contractors holding an appropriate quality system certification – specifically BS EN ISO 9001:2008 issued by a UKAS recognised 3rd Party certification body. Appropriate certification also includes third party certifications issued in overseas countries by members of a Multi-Lateral Agreement (MLA) in which UKAS participates.
An acceptable ISO 9001:2008 certificate is one with a suitable scope for the requirement, including stock management, that covers the range of Common Procurement Vocabulary (CPV) codes specified within this advert (24911200, 44424200 & 39812500).
Companies that are interested in participating in this competition will have from the date of the publication of the advert until 9.5.2014 in which time to make a valid Expression of Interest after which the Authority will have six days within which to issue an Invitation to Tender. The deadline for the submission of completed tenders to the Authority is 10:00 am on 5.6.2014.
