The US Navy has awarded International Marine & Industrial Applicators and QED Systems positions on a potential $260m contract to preserve and install coatings on various naval ships and vessels. Both companies will compete for individual delivery orders over a five-year period to provide single and multiple coat systems, ultra-high solids, epoxy, solvent-based, anti-fouling and associated repair requirements for aircraft carriers, submarines and other vessels.
