General Dynamics‘ Electric Boat subsidiary has won a $95.6m contract modification to manufacture 17 tactical missile tubes for the US Navy‘s future Columbia Class nuclear submarines. The modification will support the joint US-UK Common Missile Compartment programme and includes Foreign Military Sales to the UK. The Navy obligated $23m in FMS funds from the UK at the time of award.
