Works: The Transfer Sheds at DM Beith suffered considerable damage during storm in the winter months of 2012, to the extent that one of the buildings had to be stripped of all the cladding sheets as a safety precaution. The remaining building could not physically accommodate the EX3 trailers and resulted in all loading and unloading activities having to be carried out in the open. Additionally, the lack of a secure facility to allow overnight stabling of vehicles has put an additional burden on security resources.
The requirement is to construct a new Transfer Shed to ensure that current operational needs are being catered for and to confirm that the replacement facility will continue to meet DM Beith’s current and future operational commitments
