4. Description: The Awarding Authority are hosting market engagement events to discuss the upcoming procurement of orthodontics in Specified Locations. The Awarding Authority would like to use these events to:support any potential bidders with understanding the proposed local commissioning intentions and give the opportunity to raise queries and provide feedback prior to finalisation of the procurement strategy; provide information on the new process for applications now that we are using a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS); and provide application support. NHS England is committed to improving services and has an opportunity to improve, re-develop and re-commission the current orthodontics pathways. GDPs, specialist orthodontists and secondary care dental service providers are cordially invited to attend and contribute to the discussions, and help inform the future strategy. Event 1 The first event will be held on Thursday 6th April 2017 at NHS England North, Waterfront 4, Goldcrest Way, Newburn Riverside Business Park, Newburn, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE15 8NY from 4:00pm for a prompt 4:30pm start until ? 7:30pm. This event will cover:An overview of Cumbria and the North East; Orthodontic health needs assessment; proposed lots for procurement ; proposed service specification; The Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) and procurement process Event 2 The second event will be held on Wednesday 12th April 2017 at NHS England North, Waterfront 4, Goldcrest Way, Newburn Riverside Business Park, Newburn, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE15 8NY. This event will cover:- Expert advice from a procurement bid writer. There will be 2 sessions for this event 1 4:00pm for a 4:30pm start until 6:00pm 2 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start until 8:00pm Attendance will be limited to 2 representatives from each organisation. If your organisation would like to attend either or both of the market engagement events please send a correspondence via the Proactis portal with the following details for each attendee: – Name -Job Title – Contact details – Whether attending Event 1, Event 2 or both – If attending Event 2 whether your preference is session 1 or session 2 Please note that registering prior to the event is required. The sessions for the second event will be dictated by the numbers attending and preferences will be considered on a first come first served basis. The deadline for registering to attend the events is as follows: Event 1: 12 noon on Wednesday 5th April 2017 Event 2: 12 noon on Tuesday 11th April 2017.
