4. Description: Please Note this is a re-opening of the accredited list which was originally tendered and awarded in the Summer 2016 (Ref DN122468 ) . Tenderers who have been successful in this earlier tender do not need to reapply as you are already on the accredited list. If you require further clarification please contact us via the messaging service in this opportunity. The awarding authority is seeking to establish an accredited list of providers to deliver a range of community activity Services (?the Services?) for adults, aged 18 and over, who are eligible for social care financial assistance and wish the council to arrange the community activity service for them through spot purchase arrangements. This list will include a wide range of community activities in order to reflect customers? individual choices, and may include a focus on accessing and integrating community resources. In order to facilitate this element of the service, the Council will continue to work with the market to grow and nurture community-based alternatives including social and community enterprises; to ensure choice for individuals to live independently and reduce social isolation. This List will be tendered under the OJEU “Light Touch” arrangements and follow a process similar to that of a DPS ie remain open throughout the contract term. Due to the needs and nature of the service there will be some deviations to the standard DPS process and these are detailed in the tender documentation.
