II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The ADEWS DT (Air Defence and Electronic Warfare Systems Delivery Team), part of the UK Ministry of Defence, intends to award a contract to Bristol International Airport Ltd for Primary Radar Feed from Bristol Airport. The estimated contract value is 488 000 GBP.
It is considered that this contract can be placed using the negotiated procedure without prior publication as permitted by article 32 of Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council regulation 32(b)(ii) of the UK Public Contracts Regulations 2015 for technical reasons.
Bristol International Airport Ltd is the only airport to cover the specific geographical area required to deliver these critical services in the South West region. Additionally, Bristol International Airport Ltd is the only supplier in the region with operational equipment to provide the feed in the required format and expertise to interface with the Authority’s subcontractors’ equipment/teams enabling the services to be delivered to the UK Air Surveillance and Control System.
