The US Army has awarded BAE Systems a potential seven-year, $384m contract to produce thermal weapon sight technology that will work to help soldiers identify and engage targets in the battlefield. The company’s Family of Weapon Sights – Crew Served system comprises high-resolution sensors with a laser range-finder and is designed to transmit real-time imagery wirelessly to a helmet-mounted display.
