4. Description: Repair and maintenance services of measuring, testing and checking apparatus. Babcock DSG Limited, acting as an Agent on behalf of the Authority, wishes to advertise for expressions of interest for a 4 year contract for on-site Repair and Maintenance of 2 EMC Test Chambers (1 G35 semi anechoic chamber and 1 G39 fully anechoic chamber) at Blandford. It is envisaged that the periodic on-site maintenance will consist of 4 visits, per Test Chamber per year, and an initial repair of the Chambers will be required in the 1st quarter of the 1st year to ensure that both chambers are fully serviceable.

Any potential service providers wishing to undertake the work will be responsible for the provision of all associated parts (to OEM specifications) required to support any repair activity.

Babcock DSG Limited advises potential service providers that drawings or associated specifications are not available to issue as part of any eventual Invitation to Tender

QA Standards or equivalent: The service provider shall hold and maintain a certification to BS EN ISO 9001:2008, issued by an accredited certification body.

Interested parties should in the first instance, submit an expression of interest, together with their ISO accreditation certificate including scope to Babcock DSG Limited’s nominated representative. Babcock DSG Limited reserves the right to exclude any potential service providers whose ISO accreditation does not cover the scope of the requirement. Expressions of interest should not exceed 2 x A4 Size Pages.

Late expressions of interest will not be considered.

The announcement of a possible future requirement is not to be construed as confirmation that a tender/contract will subsequently be issued. The issue of a possible future requirement, or the issue of an Invitation to Tender, is not to be construed as a commitment by Babcock DSG Limited to place a contract as a result of the tendering stage or at a later stage. Any expenditure, work or effort prior to any contract award is accordingly a matter solely for the commercial judgement of the potential service provider.

Babcock DSG Limited will endeavour to acknowledge all expressions of interest within 5 working days of receipt. Should no such acknowledgement be provided, the potential supplier should take appropriate action to confirm receipt of their expression of interest.
