An opening date has been set for a £150m retail development in Leicestershire, which could create 1,000 jobs, after it was granted planning permissionCastle Acres Shopping Park will comprise 288,000 sq ft of retail space on the current site of the Everards Brewery, along with a 90,000 sq ft department store.Next is acting as developer with support from Everards and Fosse Park Partnership and has agreed to anchor the scheme.An opening date for Castle Acres has been set for 2019. Construction is expected to take two years to complete and will start next year.Further space at the park will be occupied by TK Maxx and a number of food and drink retailers. It is expected to complement the neighbouring Fosse Shopping Park.
