An entrepreneur with 37 years’ experience in the bar industry has submitted proposals for a new prosecco and wine venue on Derby’s Friargate.The project is led by applicant Stephen Rouse, who has run a “number” of bars in the vicinity of Friargate.If approved, a property at the junction of George Street and Friargate will be transformed into the new bar, creating six jobs.According to the planning documents, the building has been “vacant for a long time”.The plans are being considered by Derby City Council.
