1. Summary of Requirements / Description of Work: Refurbishment of run-down buildings. Installation of doors and windows and related components. Roof-tiling work. Electrical wiring and fitting work. 20 properties at Culdrose, Helston to be refurbished as follows:
Brief Scope of Works
• Works will entail the removal of the roof covering to the mansard roof. At first floor level a new timber frame will be built to encapsulate the existing mansard roof and create a vertical wall at first floor level.
The building envelope with be fully insulated with an EPS and render finish at ground floor level and an insulated timber frame at first floor level which will be clad in a Hardieplank or similar approved cladding system.
In addition, all properties will receive the following;
• Re-Roofing including chimney removal
• Bathroom Refurbishment
• New Doors and Windows to properties and External Stores
• Replacement Roof to Porch
• Replacement Soffit, Fascia and Rainwater Goods
• Electrical Re-Wire (Excluding the kitchens)
For Amey to accept any Expression of Interest it is ESSENTIAL that any subcontractor is a member of Constructionline at GOLD LEVEL 3.
If successful the subcontractor will need to pass a pre-qualification questionnaire, sign up to Amey Terms and Conditions, and meet the MoD Security Requirements.
This advert is for Expressions of Interest (BY EMAIL ONLY) – from the responses and our existing subcontractor data base we shall compile the tender list. Tender packs will follow separately (by email).
Note 1: The bidder must quote for all aspects of the Works.
Note 2: Future works of a similar nature may be negotiated based upon submitted rates.
