Short description of requirement: Training simulators. Training aids and devices. Parachutes. Flight simulators. Requirement to provide a Tailgate Exit Trainer (TET) system; that will be used to train military paratroopers on the correct method of aircraft exit drills, when deploying from the rear of military aircraft. The TET will require a permanent ground based facility to allow paratroopers to train repetitively on aircraft tailgate exit drills, to the AIR Capability Customer’s training requirement. The TET is expected to include a safe and robust training environment to enable trainees to undertake repetitive tailgate exits that reflect the conditions experienced at the rear of military aircraft during live exits, namely, this may/might include aircraft propeller blast and slipstream to present students with the effects on the body during exit of aircraft. A market interest day will be held at RAF Brize Norton on 26/11/2019.
