Summary of Requirements / Description of Work: Warehouse management system. Construction work for warehouses and industrial buildings. Transport services (excl. Waste transport). Storage and warehousing services. Warehousing services. Freight transport agency services. Defence services. The scope of the Warehousing and Distribution at HM Naval Base Clyde comprises the following services:
• Stock management;
• Warehouse management;
• On-base distribution of inventory;
• Information management; and
• Interface to National Freight Distribution service
The Authority may determine that an optimised warehousing service will entail substantial renovation and/or refurbishment of some current facilities, and/or the construction of new facilities, and/or provision of a customs warehouse, any or all of which could demand significant capital investment. The estimated Contract value(s) cited in this Contract Notice reflect this possibility. Note, however, that this is not guaranteed.
The proposed duration of the contract is up to 5 years with, at the sole discretion of the Authority, the potential for one 2 year extension and one 1 year extension.
