About the work

Who the specialist will work with The team includes Service Manager, Delivery Manager, Business Analyst, Developer and User researcher. You will be expected to work with Subject matter experts from MOD Disclosure Branches, Policy Leads and member of the public including key user groups
What the specialist will work on Break down complex problems and identify steps towards solutions. Coach individuals and engage with non-technical people at all levels of seniority. Write code as a senior member of the development team.
Working arrangements A typical working day is 9am – 5pm (however working outside of these hours may be required due to business/project need. The role is based in London but there may be travel involved to other regions of the country. Travel expenses outside the base location will be covered

Experience working alongside a user researcher and developer using user centered design practices to ensure stories and user research are at the heart of product design
Proven ability to design services to meet valid user needs including consultation on design and production of design patterns
Adhere to agreed project delivery standards ensuring outputs and deliverable are fit for purpose
Have a demonstrable experience liaising with external and internal items to ensure timely provisioning and implementation of quality scalable and secure technical solutions
Proven experience in use of service based technologies such as SOAP, RESTful, APIs , XMLmessaging and JSON
Proven ability to undertake structured analysis into technical designs that describe a solution
Experience delivering outputs in line with GDS standards and assessment process
Experience of deploying and building web applications on Cloud Foundry using buildings and the CLI
Experience of working using Agile Methodology
