Military Engineering Conference
16 February 2017 – Berkshire
The Annual Military Engineering Conference 2017 will cover the global threat and the Military Engineers’ contribution to current operations. It will explore the challenges faced by Military Engineers in the 21st century and how they might be met. Military Engineering involves the provision of capability to understand, portray and shape the physical environment. It exists at every level of command and may involve both military and civilian work forces.
Areas to be explored include advances in materials, autonomy and engineering information systems and how they might translate to the battlefield. The five central pillars are: Close Support (also known as Combat Engineering) – providing support to Combined Arms operations; Force Support; Counter-Explosive Ordnance; Infrastructure; and Geographic.
There will be an opportunity for one-to-one networking sessions in the afternoon.
