Industry Day Requirement
- MTAO (Maritime Training Acquisition Organisation) are to hold a one-day Industry Day on 9 February 2017 to brief industry on the programme, highlight MARTASS key requirements and maintain momentum within the programme.
- This will be an opportunity for MOD to detail the vision, requirements and delivery timelines associated with the programme. It will also be an opportunity to obtain feedback on the procurement process to date and a short Learning from Experience (LFE) will be conducted.
Event Objectives
- The objectives of the event are:
- Brief Industry on latest Programme information.
- Enable Industry to plan responses to MARTASS requirements. It is intended to issue the SoR before the Industry Day to give context and prepare Industry for the event.
- Enable MOD to test viability of requirements and timescales.
- Enable MOD to gather intelligence and conduct market analysis to inform the procurement, commercial and negotiation strategies.
- Enable MOD to identify risks to the procurement.
- Enable MOD to engage with Industry efficiently.
Event Location
- The planned event is to be held at HMS Collingwood as there is close proximity to some of the training systems involved and the RN training staff.
Presentation Material, IPR and Security
- Attendees will be required to be UK nationals holding a current Security Check (SC) clearance, or they may not be able to attend some or all of the briefings.
- Presentation materials shall be derived from MOD sources.
- Information presented at the Industry Day will exceed Official Sensitive at designated times. This is necessary to accurately define the technical specifications required from the outputs of the assessment phase.
Presentational Issues
- This event will be through invitation only to the six companies successful at PQQ stage and closed to the media.
